1.0 Fire & Safety Equipment Service Quote

Information regarding your premises will be required to be made available to technicians for determining specific building classifications, occupancy requirements and legislative requirements to assist with conducting compliance inspections & testing. If you are unsure about this, our helpful team can lead you in the right direction to obtaining the information upon quote acceptance.

All items required to be inspected and tested are to be made available and access to the premises provided to ensure services are conducted promptly and efficiently. If items are not made available, access to the premises is limited or upon attendance to a booking the technician has been turned away, additional fees will be incurred for return visits to site.

Service Quote pricing is based on a once off six monthly service being due at the time of inspection. If annual services are due at the time of inspection, additional charges may be incurred dependant on the asset being inspected and tested. Additional products, services, repairs, labour, travel or call outs not included in the service quote, are billable at the time of the completed inspections, testing or repairs and are to be paid as per invoice payment terms.

Ongoing services required by Australian Standards and State Legsilative requirements will be automatically programmed in the FCF Compliance System for continual future site visits for inspection and testing of equipment. Written notification to your local FCF service provider is required for cancellation of any ongoing services.

Equipment provided by FCF that have an exclusive 5 Year Warranty is only valid whilst FCF continue to maintain that equipment for the 5 Year Warranty period. If another Service Provider inspects, tests, services or maintains the equipment, the warranty will be void and revert to the manufactures warranty policy.

2.0 Fire & Safety Equipment Subscription Quote

All items required to be inspected and tested are to be made available and access to the premises provided to ensure services are conducted promptly and efficiently. If items are not made available, access to the premises is limited or upon attendance to a booking the technician has been turned away, additional fees will be incurred for return visits to site.
The below items are not foreseeable repairs/replacements:

  • Equipment that has been stolen, vandalised or tampered with
  • Equipment that has been damaged or is missing
  • Equipment that is exposed to aggressive environments
  • Equipment that has previously not been maintained to Australian Standards which has affected the condition and performance of the equipment

Subscription services are a minimum of 24 months before opting out. Written notification to your local FCF service provider is required for cancellation of services. Any products supplied by FCF within the subscription period for which the cost has not yet been recovered due to the contract termination will be deemed due payable at the time of cancellation and payment will be taken via Direct Debit.
Subscription services are to be paid via Direct Debit monthly in advance as per due date. Additional fees will incur if Direct Debit payment attempts have been unsuccessful.

Additional products, services, repairs, labour, travel or call outs not included in the subscription services are billable at the time of the completed service and are to be paid as per invoice payment terms.

3.0 Smoke Alarm Total Compliance Subscription Quote

Smoke Alarm Subscription services include conducting an annual service on the smoke alarms within the premises. Multiple premises would require additional subscription services to cover each premises.

Smoke alarms will only be replaced or installed for free if they are required for compliance. Replacement smoke alarms are restricted to a maximum of 4 smoke alarms within the premises. Additional replacement smoke alarms will be chargeable. Smoke alarms are replaced as per products selected by FCF to meet compliance. Alternate products that are supplied or are to be used at the request of the customer for replacement purposes, will be chargeable to the customer. FCF have the right to refuse the use of products supplied or requested by the customer if it is deemed by FCF that the product will not satisfactorily meet compliance requirements or does not fall within the allowances of the Subscription Model. Any additional labour or materials used to complete the installation or replacement of the supplied or requested products from the customer, is chargeable to the customer.

If a Queensland property is found to have two or more interconnected bedroom smoke alarms and FCF are required to install or replace smoke alarms to meet new Queensland legislative requirements, additional costs will apply starting from $160 inc. GST per smoke alarm.

For free site attendance, the property must be located within 50km of a local FCF office. If the property is located further then 50km, additional charges will apply. If the property has a sounding smoke alarm which started outside of working hours (830am to 5pm Monday to Friday), additional charges will apply. Service does not cover beeping or sounding smoke alarms as a result of a pest infestation, fire incident or flat battery.
